Mark 7:6

The belief systems expressed by the average American Christian concerning the wars in the middle-east are frightening. It's as if when discussing the issue of middle-eastern conflict, the average Christian suddenly abandons his/her faith. Somehow instantly leaving the love of God for humanity as well as the core teachings of Christ; in lue of abstract and dillusional justifications that sound more like a Fox News report than that of someone actually professing to know God.

It never ceases to amaze me that the only body count they are concerned with is that of our troops. That we as Christians are somehow able to overlook the faces of over 1 million dead civilians between Irag and Afghanistan. Five hundred thousand of which have been women and children. For God's sake, these are human beings! Wives and husbands, mothers and children. These are real people with real dreams and aspirations just as you and I. In short, when Christians start to mourn the lives of Muslim families lost in these conflicts just as they would there own, then maybe they can call themselves Christians.

Mark 7:6 - He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophecy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'These people honor Me with there lips, but there heart is far from Me.'

Authors note:
I believe it is high time to wake up!
